Orange Pig Industry Seminar

There has never been such a need for effective health care in the Chinese pig sector as there is today. The sector has experienced many novel diseases in the past. In 2007 the Chinese pig sector was confronted with PRRS. In 2011 the signs of PEDv became very present and affected the pig sector.

With effective medication, improved farm management and more stringent biosecurity measures the sector was able to defeat the problems and succeeded to return to previous levels of production.

Nedap’s Gerard Weijers will host a keynote talk during the fifth edition of the Orange Pig Industry Seminar. His talk, titled ‘Data Makes the Pig Talk: How Information Technology Supports Health Management’ will commence at 03.10PM in room A2-2, located in hall A2.
