Nedap, a global leader in smart pigs and dairy solutions, is expanding its team to further support pig producers reach their goals. Ton Van Den Akker joins the team as the International Sales Manager of Central and Eastern Europe, while Hans Hoevink takes on the role of the International Sales Manager of Asia Pacific. José Roberto Simeone will be Nedap’s International Sales Manager for Latin America. Jeff Morten will be Nedap’s Sales Manager for USA.

Ton van den Akker

Van Den Akker has been working in the pig industry since 1985 with a proven track record in account management and pig genetics. His knowledge and experience form a solid base for his position as the Nedap International Sales Manager Central and Eastern Europe.

“More pig farms are continuously moving toward collecting data, as well as identifying and managing animals individually, to increase results and save costs,” says Van Den Akker. “Nedap’s business goals fit these market trends perfectly.”

Hans Hoevink

Hoevink joins the team as the International Sales Manager of Asia Pacific. This area includes the following countries: Japan, South-Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. China is served by a dedicated local sales team with an office in Shanghai.

Hoevink’s experiences in account management coupled with extensive knowledge of solutions in the pig industry make him a tremendous addition to the team. He has a passion for using technology and collecting data to manage sow group housing. His experience and network in the Asia Pacific will help running in this dynamic region.

José Simeone

Simeone will help Spanish-, Portuguese- and English-speaking pork producers in Latin America use Nedap technology to manage sows in a group setting. His previous jobs were with multinational agricultural companies, such as Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and Cargill Inc. Simeone earned his MBA degree at the School of Management in Maastricht, the Netherlands this past year.

Jeff Morten

Jeff brings years of experience in sales and project management to his new role. Before joining the Nedap U.S. team, Jeff worked as a sales manager for the Nedap dealer New Standard, owned a start-up construction company and served as a senior project manager for VCRNOW.
